How do I sign up for class?

Prior to your first class, please fill out our contact form. Let us know if you have any prior aerial experience and for how long. After that, click Get Started.

If you have zero prior experience, please sign up for a Tuesday class at 8:15pm. This is where you will learn the foundational aerial skills necessary to fly!

If you have some experience with aerial silks, please sign up for a Thursday class at 8:15pm. I will assess your skill level in this class and give you skills that meet your level. If I notice any foundational gaps, we will work to fill those in.

I am currently working on adding more class times. Our next class availability will begin sometime in March 2025 on Saturday mornings at 9:30am. Stay tuned!

Can I just show up to class?

No, you will need to use the online booking to sign up for class, and you will not be able to sign up any later than 24 hours before class time.

The reason being is that we have a class limit. Our maximum class capacity is 6 students per class. This is for safety reasons as the instructor needs to be able to observe each student performing each skill to make sure they are doing it correctly to prevent injury.

If the class is full, you are welcome to join our waitlist, or book multiple classes to ensure your spot. We operate on a first come, first serve basis!

How do I prepare for my first class?

We recommend wearing leggings and a t-shirt for class. As rope burns are a possibility, we recommend covering sensitive areas such as armpits, backs of knees, and waist. Some people prefer to wear layers, as with aerial silks, we sometimes hang upside down and loose shirts can expose the midsection.

We do not allow buttons, zippers, jewelry, or anything that may damage or tear the silks. You will be asked to move any jewelry that we think may be damaging to the fabric. Long fingernails are also not recommended as these can tear the silks as well as hinder grip strength.

It does not matter what types of shoes you wear because you will be removing any footwear before class. Just bring a bottle of water!

What if I am running late or need to cancel?

Our cancellation policy is that we request 24 hours notice in order to cancel your spot. However, we will allow for 12 hours notice before the starting class time to cancel if necessary. You will receive a refund if you cancel prior to 12 hours before class, and then you are welcome to rebook your class for another day.

If you are running late, we will allow you to still join class, provided you warm-up on your own. You will be required to follow the recommended warm up techniques and stretching prior to joining the other students. Your instructor can assist you if you don’t remember the warm-up routine.

In cases of inclement weather, we do not want anyone to risk harm or to feel uncomfortable, so we will accept cancellations even at the last minute for weather conditions.

I am already athletic and workout, am I still a beginner?

Yes! As you will quickly find, aerial arts requires very unique techniques in order to perform the various skills. Even if you have prior experience in gymnastics, cheerleading, or other aerial apparatuses, you will still need to start in the beginner classes.

However, there is hope! Although we can never guarantee how quickly a student will progress, if you already have an athletic background, there is a chance you will be able to move into other levels more quickly.

No matter who the student is or what their experience, if you are new to our gym, we will need to personally assess your skill level and place you in the appropriate class.

My child is under 12, can they take classes?

Unfortunately, we are only offering classes to 12 years of age and older at this time. This is a personal choice for our studio based on liability, risk factor, and various other reasons.

While we are aware that other studios choose to offer classes to ages younger than 12 years old, we believe that, while aerial silks is very fun, our #1 priority is safety and we believe that aerial silks requires a certain level of focus that comes with maturity and age.
